Every KLM passenger may bring one small bag measuring up to 40 × 30 × 15 cm free of charge. This can be a small backpack, handbag or laptop bag and must be placed underneath the seat in front of you. Passengers travelling in Economy Class on a Basic ticket may bring only this small bag as standard.
Economy Light, Standard and Flex tickets also include one larger piece of hand baggage measuring up to 55 × 35 × 25 cm, including handles and wheels. Basic ticket holders can purchase this allowance separately. The larger size is ideal for a cabin suitcase, cabin backpack or spacious travel bag stored in the overhead compartment. In Economy Class, the small bag and larger hand baggage may have a combined weight of up to 12 kg.
